When a team is young and full of freshmen there is usually a learning curve. The team must learn the ropes of collegiate sports and struggles early on are understandable.
However, for Head Coach Kevin Sherry and his Louisiana Tech women’s soccer team, they are playing well and beyond their years despite 13 freshmen being on the roster.
Tech is 9-1-1 and is off to its best start in recent memory.
Sherry said the team’s hot start can be attributed to hard work and the players finding their niche.
“The team has put in a lot of hard work,” Sherry said.
