Weather Forces Suspension Of Second Round At Sun Belt Men's Golf Championship

MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team finished the first day of the 2017 Sun Belt Men's Golf Championship in eighth place with an 18-hole score of 12-over par (296) on Sunday at the par-71, 6,900-yard course Raven Golf Club at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

Weather caused a delay that neared four hours during the first round that ended up causing the second round to be suspended due to darkness with most teams halfway through the round.

"It's been a challenge for the whole field this first day with a long rain delay," head coach Theo Sliman said.
