NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference, in partnership with the American Cancer Society and Coaches vs. Cancer, will participate in "Suits and Sneakers" week on Jan. 26 and 28 to raise awareness and donations in support of Appalachian State women's basketball head coach Angel Elderkin's fight against endometrial cancer.
In addition, the conference has teamed up with Coaches vs. Cancer to launch its 2017 3-Point Challenge. Each school will compete to raise the most funds by pledging donations for every 3-point shot their team makes in the month of February, with all proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society to fund innovative research and patient services.
