Boone, N.C. – Jenn Bass scored off a corner kick from Kelly Flanders in the 52nd minute to lead Appalachian State to a 2-0 win over Louisiana on Friday evening at the Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.

Appalachian State (8-7-2, 3-4-2 SBC) scored first in the 36th minute on a goal by Jane Cline off an assist from Morgan Mosack. It was Cline's Sun Belt Conference leading ninth goal of the season.

Louisiana (8-8-1, 4-4-1 SBC) had four shots on goal in the match, but couldn't get a ball past Mountaineers goalkeeper Sam Steyl.

Appalachian State had 19 shots in the match, 11 of which were on goal.
