Louisiana Falls To SBC-Leading Eagles, 81-76

LAFAYETTE – Ike Smith scored 13 of his game-high 28 points in a 24-12 second half run and Georgia Southern shot 59 percent in the second half to rally past the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, 81-76, in a Sun Belt Conference game before an announced crowd of 5,464 on Saturday at the Cajundome.

Tookie Brown scored 19 points and dished out five assists as Georgia Southern (11-6, 4-0 SBC) erased a 36-30 halftime deficit by shooting 13-for-22 from the floor and 22-for-26 from the free throw line in the final 20 minutes.

Louisiana (12-5, 2-2 SBC) took a 44-39 lead when scored off his own miss with 16:03 remaining before Smith responded with a four-point play on the Eagles' next possession to cut the lead to 44-43.
