Cajuns Drop Match 3-1 At Lamar

BEAUMONT, TEXAS – Louisiana's women's soccer dropped their second match of the season, falling 3-1 to the Lamar Cardinals here at the Lamar Soccer Complex.

After the first weekend of play the Ragin' Cajuns record, sits at 0-2-0. While the Cardinals improve to 2-0-0 having won their season opener on Friday.

Freshman Grace Champagne got on the board with a goal for the Cajuns in the 40th minute. It was Champagne's first of her young career and for Louisiana it was their first goal of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED (First Half) – Fresh off her eight second half saves in the game against Baylor, freshman Victoria Ryan got the nod in goal to start the match and she watched her teammates put pressure on early with senior Denice Emokpae getting a shot in the first minute.
