Thomas: Chiefs' Johnson feels young again after another Achilles rehab

ST. JOSEPH, MO. • When Derrick Johnson suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon last Dec. 8 against Oakland, some wondered if that was it for the veteran Kansas City linebacker. He was, after all, 34 years old. And it was, after all, his second such injury in two years.

Count coach Andy Reid among them.

“Then he came out here, and he’s like 20 all over again,” Reid said. “That’s the way he goes about his business. When I tell you he comes out with energy like he’s 20 — he’s like that every day.”
