Rams WR Kenny Britt approaching first 1,000-yard season

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- Los Angeles Rams receiver Kenny Britt was asked what it would mean to reach 1,000 yards, and his eyes lit up.

"A career year, that's what it means," he said. "A thousand yards -- every receiver wants that. It's taken me eight years, but it would be cool."

The Rams' offense has been a mess -- again -- throughout what can only be considered a wholly disappointing 2016 season. But while Todd Gurley has continually struggled to get going on the ground, and Tavon Austin has not provided anywhere near the production this team would have hoped, Britt has emerged as a rare bright spot, producing at optimum levels at a time when receivers don't necessarily reach their peaks.
