Rams QB Jared Goff skips practice, still expected to play Sunday

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- Los Angeles Rams rookie quarterback Jared Goff skipped Wednesday's practice because he was sick.

Goff picked up "a virus that's been going around," Rams coach Jeff Fisher said, adding that he does not expect the illness to set Goff back "at all" for Sunday.

"Not at all," Fisher added. "Case [Keenum, the Rams' former starting quarterback] did a great job getting the offense ready."

Goff arrived at the facility early Wednesday morning and attended meetings. "He sat way in the back of the room," Fisher said, "but he was there.
