The Lakers aren’t losing sight of positive developments, even amid losses

The Los Angeles Lakers went 1-3 on a ridiculous four games in five nights road trip. Lakers head coach Luke Walton didn’t think the schedule made any sense, and the team’s record showed why, especially when they dropped the final two games due to a combination of travel, fatigue, and injuries building up.

The team had every reason to quit. By the end of the trip, they were missing D’Angelo Russell, Larry Nance, Jr., Nick Young, and Jose Calderon. Julius Randle was dealing with an ailing hip, and the entire roster was trying to overcome the fatigue that comes with trying to play four freaking games in five freaking nights.
