For much of the offseason, so much of the narrative surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers has centered around the lack of expectations for the team. Most hope that the young and fun Lakers will show some growth, but unlike in previous lottery-bound seasons, there has been very little preseason pining for a playofff spot.
Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak stopped well short of predicting any type of shocking run to the postseason in Los Angeles when he addressed reporters at the team's Santa Barbara training camp, but he does want to see the previously 17-win team pick up a few more victories this year.
