Lakers vs. Kings Final Score: Crazy comeback falls short, Lakers lose 118-115

A vintage Kobe Bryant performance and career night from D'Angelo Russell weren't enough to dig the Lakers out of the hole they put themselves in early.

The Los Angeles Lakers turned a blowout into a game that came down to the final possession but came up short in a 118-115 loss to the Sacramento Kings. Lou Williams took a corner-three with a chance to send the game into overtime but it missed the mark, and the Kings avoided what would have been a nuclear meltdown in the second half.

The bigger loss for the Lakers could be D'Angelo Russell, though, who had his career night cut short after he rolled his ankle late in the fourth quarter.
