Lakers rookie Brandon Ingram ‘doubtful’ for Tuesday’s game against Wizards

EL SEGUNDO >> Lakers coach Luke Walton stressed that durability has not been much of a concern for Brandon Ingram.

Among NBA rookies, no one has logged more minutes than Ingram, who has played more than 2,000 in his debut season.

But the 19-year-old forward will likely miss a second consecutive game Tuesday against the Washington Wizards because of patellar tendinitis in his right knee. He is considered doubtful after he did not practice Monday.

The Lakers’ 97-81 loss to Portland on Sunday was the first game he has missed.

“He was playing big minutes,” Walton said, “and he was practicing as hard, if not harder than everyone else out there as far as running the sprints and where he was finishing.
