Burglars hit Tarzana home of former Laker Derek Fisher, steal more than $300K in jewelry

TARZANA >> Police are investigating a burglary at the Tarzana home of former Los Angeles Laker guard Derek Fisher, in which more than $300,000 worth of jewelry was taken.

The crime occurred some time between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. Monday at Fisher’s residence in the 5800 block of Shirley Avenue, said Los Angeles police Officer Drake Madison.

No one was home at the time of the burglary, Madison said.

Fisher played 18 seasons in the NBA, the majority of them with the Lakers, with whom he won five championships.

Madison said the LAPD could not confirm a TMZ.
