Beasley exits Lakers debut with head laceration

SAN DIEGO -- Michael Beasley's Los Angeles Lakers debut lasted six minutes after he was forced out of Sunday's preseason opener with a head laceration.

Beasley played six minutes off the bench and scored four points, including a 3-pointer, before leaving against the Denver Nuggets for good with 9:02 remaining in the second quarter.

The Lakers were taking a look at some of their small-ball lineups with Beasley at center before he left due to the injury. Coach Luke Walton tried using Kyle Kuzma and Beasley at center behind starter JaVale McGee against Denver.
