The Kobe Bryant goodbye tour isn’t the only thing with 30 games left.
D’Angelo Russell’s rookie season is winding down relatively quickly, the second pick in the NBA draft facing a little more than two months on the first round of his pro career.
There have been some ups and some downs, along with an acknowledgment from Lakers Coach Byron Scott that Russell is slightly behind where Scott hoped he would be at this point.
“I probably thought he’d be a little further,” Scott said Saturday as the Lakers prepared to play San Antonio.
