Marian's magic leads Kings to 3-2 OT victory

LOS ANGELES –

The storyline coming into the evening was Patrick Kane’s point-streak, and that narrative was quickly put to rest when the Blackhawks’ star forward scored the opening goal of the night, beating Jonathan Quick up high 11 minutes into the game on a power play.

In the second, Niklas Hjalmarsson gave Chicago a 2-0 lead when he fired a slap shot across his body from the point, going against the grain of Quick’s movement, placing the puck into the top right corner.

Down two goals entering the third, the Kings got to work quickly, Jeff Carter scoring his 10th goal of the season.
