Drew Doughty A Finalist For Norris Trophy

On Friday, Kings defenseman Drew Doughty was named one of the three finalists for the NHL’s Norris Trophy, an award given to the “top defense player who demontrates throughout the season the greatest all-around ability in the position.”

Ottawa’s Erik Karlsson and San Jose’s Brent Burns were the other two finalists named.

This marks the second straight year that Doughty has finished as a finalist for the trophy, his third time overall. Doughty earned a Norris nomination following the 2009-’10 season.

As for Doughty’s counterparts, Erik Karlsson has been nominated as a finalist for the award twice, and has won it both times, 2012 and 2015.
