After spending three seasons with UCLA, defender Nathan Smith elected to forgo his senior season and sign his first professional contract with LA Galaxy II on March 23, 2016. The former Galaxy Homegrown Player played in 24 matches with Los Dos in 2016. A reliable piece of the backline, Smith helped Los Dos to their third straight postseason appearance.
