LOS ANGELES (Friday, March 1, 2019) – The LA Galaxy have exercised its one offseason Buyout of a Guaranteed Contract on Giovani dos Santos and the forward is no longer on the team’s 2019 roster, the club announced today.
“We have been working with the player this preseason to reach an agreement that is best for both sides,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “We have come to this decision and believe that it is best for the club and for Giovani. We will work with the player and his representatives to find an on-field solution for the player’s next step.
