On Friday, August 23rd the LA Galaxy Foundation hosted LA Galaxy Champion Project schools for “Friday Night Soccer” at Dignity Health Sports Park. Students from eleven Carson elementary schools and their families were treated to a fun night filled with soccer, music, food trucks and giveaways. The students kicked off the new school year with soccer programming from LA Galaxy Camps & Clinics coaches where they practiced their soccer skills.
LA Galaxy Champion Project partners, Playworks Southern California and Garden School Foundation showcased their programming at the event with various activities. During the soccer clinic, Playworks took lead on one of the stations and taught an interactive lesson to the students on encouraging their peers when playing.
