The Dodgers announced Tuesday that starting pitcher Walker Buehler is headed to the 10-day disabled list with a rib microfracture. Left-hander Caleb Ferguson was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to make the start against the Rangers in the opener.
Buehler joins eight other pitchers currently on the disabled list for the Dodgers, 11 players in total. The Dodgers were able to backdate the trip to the DL going back to Saturday, but ultimately it sounds like that won’t matter.
The team is hoping Buehler will be back in two weeks.
