Donald Newcombe was born on the 14th of June 1926 in Madison New Jersey. His parents were Roland and Sadie Newcombe. His father was a chauffeur for a wealthy family for 28 years. He also was adept at making home-made beer. Newk had three brothers, Harold, Norman, and Roland Jr.
