LOS ANGELES – There was another off-field incident, this time involving a fight at a club, that might result in league discipline. There were reports of a teammate’s animosity being so great he wanted him traded. And there was a suggestion from the front office that he needed to lose some weight.
Ho hum. Just another off-season for Yasiel Puig.
Last week’s FanFest event at Dodger Stadium was the first chance for new Dodgers manager Dave Roberts to meet his greatest challenge face to face. Puig’s relationship with former manager Don Mattingly and most of his coaching staff deteriorated over the past two years.
