LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers' initial wave of September call-ups will be a quartet of players, the team announced on Monday. a Austin Barnes accelerated his ascension back to the majors, active on Monday night against the Giants, and on Tuesday he will be joined by pitchers Mike Bolsinger, Joel Peralta and Ian Thomas.
Barnes was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday with Kike Hernandez placed on the 15-day disabled list with a hamstring strain.
The catcher hit .315/.389/.479 with nine home runs and 17 doubles in 81 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City, and on Monday was named to the All-Pacific Coast League team, the first Oklahoma City player to be so honored since 2010.
