The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled left-hander Caleb Ferguson to start Tuesday night against the Texas Rangers, while placing Walker Buehler on the 10-day disabled list with a right rib microfracture.
Buehler left his last start against the Atlanta Braves with what was called bruised ribs, although he suffered it a couple weeks earlier when he was hit with a comebacker on the ribs while pitching against the Colorado Rockies.
Despite being forced to go on the disabled list, Buehler was not concerned that the bruised ribs is a long-term injury that would keep him out more than a start or two.
