Last season, Yasmani Grandal and his wife Heather co-designed a t-shirt in partnership with Athletes Brand to benefit Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The shirt was in honor of Bailey, a friend of the Grandal family, who had been diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
The t-shirt campaign ran for two weeks and raised more than the $2,000 goal that was set. With Bailey unfortunately diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma this summer, the Grandals and Athletes Brand have again sprung into action.
The design features Grandal in a catcher’s stance and calling for a changeup. It represents throwing every possible pitch in a battle against cancer, and so too does “Fight” on the wristband portion that signifies where Los Angeles county is.
