Dodgers News: LA Tenders Contract to Andrew Toles Once Again for Noble Reason

Former Dodgers outfielder Andrew Toles last played a baseball game in 2018. The promising outfielder has struggled with mental health problems, and has been on the restricted list since the spring of 2019.

While there’s no expectation from the team that Toles will ever play baseball again, that hasn’t stopped them from continuing to tender him contracts to allow him to have health insurance and obtain mental health care through the club. This story doesn’t get talked about nearly enough, but fortunately, Craig Calcaterra brought some light to it in his newsletter on Wednesday:
