On the same day the Los Angeles Dodgers revealed Julio Urias is set to undergo anterior capsule surgery (shoulder) next week, the club placed Chris Hatcher on the 10-day disabled list with thoracic inflammation. Ross Stripling was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Hatcher last pitched Thursday night in the four-game series finale against the New York Mets. He allowed one run on hit in 1.1 innings pitched. Hatcher is 0-1 with a 4.66 ERA, 4.26 FIP and 1.34 WHIP in 26 games this season.
He’s collected 43 strikeouts, issued 12 walks, and allowed seven home runs in 36.
