The Milwaukee Brewers announced the signing of relief pitcher Neftali Feliz to a one-year contract. Feliz’s deal is worth a reported $5.35 million, though he can earn an additional $1.5 million in incentives.
The Los Angeles Dodgers were among the clubs connected to Feliz prior to last week’s report he was nearing an agreement with Milwaukee. The 2010 American League Rookie of the Year underwent Tommy John surgery in 2013 and struggled with the Texas Rangers in 2015.
Feliz was subsequently released by Texas in July of that season, signed with the Detroit Tigers, only to incur more trouble.
