Dodgers News: OF Matt Kemp Drawing "Serious" Trade Interest

Multiple reports last week indicated that Andre Ethier would be the likeliest candidate from the Los Angeles Dodgers' high-priced outfield to be dealt before the 2015 MLB season.

Now, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, there appears to be "serious" trade interest building around Matt Kemp - a potential move that could lift a huge financial burden off of the team:

The Dodgers could presumably be rid of most, if not all, of the $107 million to go over five years on Kemp's $160-million, eight-year deal, if they trade him. Offense is at a premium right now, particularly right-handed power, and Kemp wound up putting together a nice year despite his occasional unhappiness (25 HRs, 89 RBI, .287). The Mariners are looking for a big right-handed bat, and they need help in the outfield, the Blue Jays are said to have interest in Kemp and the Orioles, whose own Nick Markakis and Nelson Cruz are free agents, and others could easily have interest as well.

Regardless of who is fully willing to take on Kemp's massive deal, the Dodgers seemed poised to happily oblige provided the numbers are right.
