What in the wide, wide world of sports is going on here …

• Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant – best NBA duo ever? Statistically, in the NBA Finals, they are close. Most combined points-per-game in an NBA Finals: Shaquille O’Neal-Kobe Bryant, 63.3, 2002 NBA Finals; Michael Jordan-Scottie Pippen, 62.2, 1993; Curry-Durant, 62.0, ’17.

• Durant, the most un-guardable player in the game, had five consecutive 30-point games in these Finals. He is the first to do that since O’Neal in 2000.

• The Warriors averaged 121.6 points a game, fourth in NBA Finals history. The 1966-67 Philadelphia 76ers averaged the record of 124.
