Clippers unable to overcome disastrous third quarter in loss to Thunder

OKLAHOMA CITY —

The game was significant on many levels for the Clippers.

Foremost, they were facing an Oklahoma City Thunder team ahead of them in the uber-competitive Western Conference.

And the Clippers wanted to begin their post-All-Star Game schedule with a win. Additionally, the Clippers wanted to sustain the momentum they had carried them to third in the West over the first 53 games.

The Clippers’ 129-107 loss to the Thunder was not the performance the Clippers were hoping for in the first game in eight days.

The game got away from the Clippers in the third quarter when they made just 29.
