Report: Hedo Turkoglu wants to play one more season

In consecutive summers, I thought we had seen the last of free agent forward Hedo Turkoglu.

After the 2013-14 season, when the Clippers signed Turkoglu following the trade deadline after a buyout agreement from the Orlando Magic, many believed Turkoglu would hang it up after playing spot minutes for a second-tier contender; instead, he and the Clippers agreed to a one-year deal for the veterans minimum.

After last season, when Turkoglu was forced to play backup small forward due to Doc Rivers‘ inability to find a capable reserve forward and refused or to play former first-round pick Jordan Hamilton, the likelihood of Turkoglu finding a spot in the NBA felt slim-to-none, especially after the Clippers moved on by signing Josh Smith, Paul Pierce, and Wesley Johnson.
