Trout's All-Star ballot support not wavering

Though he was initially projected to miss six to eight weeks, Trout said he believes he could return before the All-Star break, leaving open the possibility that he could start in center field during the 2017 All-Star Game presented by MasterCard on July 9 in Miami. He will likely be the Angels' lone representative among position players, as no other member of the Halos' roster currently ranks inside the top five (catchers/infielders) or top 15 (outfielders) on the ballot.

Fans may cast votes for starters at MLB.com and all 30 club sites -- on computers, tablets and smartphones -- exclusively online using the 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, June 29, at 11:59 p.
