Offense, 'pen are anything but mighty in Angels' 3-1 loss at Cleveland

CLEVELAND – Everything is more difficult when a team isn’t scoring.

The defense, the pitching and the decisions in the dugout all need to be just about perfect.

In the Angels’ 3-1 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Friday night, the offense left their manager and bullpen hanging out to dry.

When Manager Mike Scioscia pulled starter Andrew Heaney after six scoreless innings and 88 pitches with a 1-0 lead, reliever Trevor Gott proceeded to allow four of the six batters he faced to reach base, and three of them scored.
