LA Angels Lifer Jered Weaver Signs with Padres

Weaver was drafted by the LA Angels in the 2004 draft when the Angels used their first rounder on the California State Long Beach stud. He debuted at age 23 in 2006, when he hurled seven-innings allowing only three hits and one walk against the Baltimore Orioles.

Weaver would continue to be the Angels front man for years to come, as he never won less than 10 games in a season until 2015. He had a three year stretch from 2010-2012 where he was one of baseball’s premier starters. He was an All-Star in each season, owning a collective 2.
