Angels cut 4, team rounding into shape

ANAHEIM -- The Angels made what appeared to be their final cuts before Saturday's exhibition game against the Dodgers, optioning corner infielder Jefry Marte, middle infielder Rey Navarro and outfielder Rafael Ortega to Triple-A Salt Lake, while also outrighting outfielder Todd Cunningham to Triple-A. Cunningham, who was out of options, passed through waivers, allowing the Angels to keep him in their organization.

That likely means Rule 5 Draft pick Ji-Man Choi, a left-handed-hitting first baseman who has also seen some time in left field, will make the team.
