It looks like it's going down, folks. The Angels are trading for OF David Murphy, of the Cleveland Indians. In return, the Angels are sending away SS Eric Stamets. They could have possibly procured a bigger name if they had dipped into the SP pool, but instead they'll quietly improve their Matt Joyce-led LF and trot out a Shane Victorino/David Murphy platoon. It's not flashy, but it's pure Bill Stoneman. Murphy is having a good year, so far, batting .296 and hitting RHPs extremely well in the process.
