Merseyside Derby set for RECORD home crowd as Everton women return to Goodison Park for first time since 2021 to face rivals Liverpool... with 20,000 fans expected to be in attendance

Everton women are set to play in front of a record home crowd of over 20,000 when they take on Liverpool at Goodison Park this evening.

The Merseyside derby will kick off women’s football weekend ahead of Tottenham v Arsenal on Saturday and Manchester City v Chelsea to come on Sunday.

The Toffees have not played at Goodison Park since the opening day of the 2021-2022 season, where 5,998 fans watched them beaten 4-0 by Manchester City.

Tonight’s crowd will not surpass the record for a women’s game at Goodison Park, which is still held by Dick Kerr Ladies - who recorded an attendance of 53,000 in 1920.
