Juventus will hold showdown talks with Liverpool target Sead Kolasinac this week, according to reports in Italy.
The left-back is into the final six months of his current contract at Schalke and he is refusing to sign a new deal.
That means the 23-year-old can leave for free in the summer, but Juve had been hoping to sign him now for around £4million.
Patrice Evra is set to leave the Italian champions this January and they are keen to bring in a new left-back sooner rather than later.
Kolasinac is their number one target and the man they want, but Schalke's reluctance to do a deal now was thought to have dented their hopes.
