Liverpool could get a much needed boost to their ailing defence with news Joel Matip is in contention to play against West Ham at Anfield on Sunday.
The 25-year-old has been a revelation at the back for the Reds this season following his arrival from Schalke in the summer.
But Matip was forced to sit out of Sunday's trip to Bournemouth with an ankle injury, and was badly missed as Liverpool threw away a 3-1 lead to lose 4-3 and suffer a blow to their title hopes.
