Leicester's Christian Fuchs signs new contract keeping him at reigning Premier League champions until 2019

Leicester defender Christian Fuchs has signed a new contract with the club that runs to the summer of 2019, the Premier League champions have announced.

Fuchs penned a three-year deal with the Foxes when he joined them on a free transfer in June 2015, went on to play a key role in their remarkable surge to the title, and has started every league and Champions League game for them so far this term.

The 30-year-old Austrian full-back told LCFC TV: 'I'm happy. I'm committed to the club.

'We had a great last season and we've also done well so far this season in the Champions League (Leicester have won all three of their fixtures in the competition to date).
