Leicester are set to miss out on their top January transfer target after seeing a second bid for defender Francesco Acerbi rejected.
The Foxes have openly expressed their interest in the Sassuolo man but have now been knocked back twice according to Calciomercato.
Considered one of the best defenders in Italy, Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri is a long-time admirer of the former AC Milan centre-back.
Ranieri is said to have called Acerbi several times trying to persuade him to move to England but the player is happy at Sassuolo and has reportedly rejected every approach.
