Count John Madden among those who wants to see Marshawn Lunch bust out Beast Mode for the Silver & Black — even though Madden has made his opinion clear on the Raiders relocating to Las Vegas.
The Raiders legend lauded the possibility of Lynch breaking out this season for short-yardage and scoring situations during an interview with the team’s website.
“One of the worst things in pro football now is short-yardage and goal line offense,” Madden said in regards to the Raiders’ new running back. “Teams can’t get first downs by running, and they get down on the goal line and they’re down there on the one-yard line throwing the ball, what’s that about?
