Safety was a glaring need for the Raiders until Karl Joseph got into the starting line up midway through the 2018 season. Even then, the safeties on the Raiders have had a tough time covering TEs for the past several years and when Travis Kelce is in the same division something needs to give.
The Raiders could improve this position but the depth isn’t going to last into the late rounds. If Mayock wants a safety chances are it will have to come by round 4 at the latest to find an impact player.
