Two Months after Open Heart Surgery a UK Freshman is Back on the Football Field

Football players are not strangers to injuries. Their bodies take a beating day in and day out. Some hits result in a trip to the training table, or worse, under the knife on a surgical table. Before arriving on UK’s campus, Kenneth Horsey underwent surgery for something much more serious than a football injury.

During Easter Sunday dinner with his family, the high school senior was rushed to the hospital with chest pains. At UK Football Media Days, Horsey shared his terrifying story with Larry Vaught.
