The Tokyo Olympics began just three days ago and the Kentucky Wildcats have already had two athletes win medaled in their respective events. Lee Kiefer and Will Shaner will bring home their gold medals of which they won via fencing (Kiefer) and air rifle (Shaner).
Kiefer, a Lexington native, won her gold medal in the individual foil by a score of 15-13. As a three-time olympian, it’s her first gold medal.
