Karl-Anthony Towns won’t be playing for Kentucky’s men’s basketball team next season. The Wildcats’ star freshman forward declared for the NBA after one year in Lexington, Ky.; he’s seen by some as the potential No. 1 overall pick in the draft.
The 6-foot-11, 250-pound big man will still be connected to Kentucky in 2015-16, though.
Towns will be taking online courses offered by UK during his rookie season in the NBA.
Karl Towns also said he’s signed up for sophomore year courses at Kentucky–will be taking them online during his rookie NBA season.
