Today, The Sporting News released their list of the 50 Most Influential People in Sports, and, after all the players he’s helped make millionaires over the years, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that John Calipari is on it. Calipari came in at #45, just ahead of Warriors star Kevin Durant, Patriots coach Bill Belichick, and Alabama coach Nick Saban.
“If he keeps putting 4-5 guys a year in the NBA — that’s crazy, right?” Justin McGuire writes. “A few years down the road, 10 percent of the league played for him?
